You may have read my report that the Hilbert Mansion had an offer on it. Apparently, that deal has not worked out, but now there is a sale pending on the $20 million mansion.
According to a recent Indiana Business Journal article, there is a new buyer for the mansion, and an agreement has been reached. Carpenter Realtors brought the buyer, and according to this article, the sale is pending.
The managing broker says that the buyer is NOT the Carmel Institute, but will not reveal who the buyer actually is. The property, located on 40 acres on West 116th street, has been on the market for over 2 years.
**UPDATE** 1/7/09…. as of today, this property is still not sold. Perhaps the offer did not get accepted as was reported by the Indiana Business Journal, or perhaps it fell apart after the offer was accepted but before closing. Either way, the Hilbert Mansion IS still currently on the market, so if you want to buy it, just give me a call and I’ll write it up for you right away!
